Insufficient Funds
March 28, 2007I am not impoverished but I don't have money either.
A trip to Market! Market!
Insufficient Funds
window shopping and coffee
Yesterday, my mother and grandmother decided to go to Taguig to meet up with a friend of theirs. Of course I was asked to drive since I'm the only one available to drive, unfortunately. Their friend's place is walking distance from Market! Market! and upon hearing this my sister decided to tag along. We left at around 9 in the morning. I haven't had breakfast yet since my mother keeps nagging me that we should leave already. Luckily my sister suggested we just drive thru Jolibee in Taytay.
Parents can be really annoying at times, can't they? While I was driving I was sipping Rootbeer while eating French Fries my mother insists that we stop by the road so that I can eat that Chicken Burger that I've ordered. What the heck? Now that's really annoying. They woke me up because they're in a hurry and now they're making me stop? And why the hell did we take-out these food anyway, it makes more sense to just dine-in the restaurant if they want to settle down and eat. I mean it's much cooler to dine in an enclosed building than eat inside a car where it's hot even with the airconditioning is on (this summer sure is blistering).
We arrived at Market! Market! and since the opportunity has arisen, I decided to extort money to buy a DVD-RW. My mother and grandmother left and I was left with my sister which seemed to decide that "we" should go and look around mall. Hey now, I'm here only to buy a DVD-RW, can't you just go by yourself? But before I can even utter these word, she's off.
I guess it's really not advisable to go on a mall with a girl. My sister just had to scour every floor of the mall just to do a window shopping. It's dead tiring but what can I do?
I finally bought my RWs. Just then my sister decided to treat me to Starbucks. WTH?! Where'd you get the money? I am amazed at my sister's buget management skills. I mean to be able to treat me to Starbucks means she has more money than I have. I feel glad and pathetic. Glad well since hey it's FREE and pathetic because, err, of money problems. It's the same as what happened last December during that Enchanted Kingdom trip. I thought I had a bargain but alas, the tickets I had were not ride-all-you-can ones so I have to use my money to buy 2 tickets. I feel pathetic then, having to rely on my parents. Thinking about it, it's also good that they are there. I mean what if they're not there. Sure would feel more pathetic if I ask her, "Hey…can I borrow money" LOL…very pathetic indeed. This is just one of the reason why I would like to have a job.
Anyway, nothing much to say after that. We finally went home at around 3 in the afternoon. Then my father asked me to make a sort of campaign poster for his friend running for some public office this coming May elections. WTH?! Do I look like someone who makes campaign poster? I hate politics for heaven's sake. They're paying me though so what can I do?
PS: I just noticed the Sponsored Link on my Sidebar….what the heck is with that? Anyway I don't mind it though, this is a free site after-all.
