The midsummer afternoon drizzle of gloom…
May 9, 2007 With the headache inducing heat of one midsummer afternoon, one will not, and cannot, expect a sudden downpour right? Well obviously I'm the only one thinking that way. Mother nature is a natural trickster and I awoken from my late afternoon slumber to "sleep off" the heat, to the sound of raindrops.
"Raindrops keep falling on my head…" and they surely do since I left the window to my room open.
I'm very sentimental when it comes to the rain, I think I've posted a thing or two about how I see rain and the gloomy atmosphere that comes with it as a sort of memory inducer. The rain for me brings all sorts of memories from the happy memories of high-school love to the not-so-enjoyable memories of a rainy visit to the amusement park. It's quite an exotic mix of emotions, I just do not know how to respond to it.
