An Encore of Boredom
May 29, 2007Starcraft Overload. What's an extremely bored guy who has access to a lot of professional Starcraft action to do?
Sanity level is reaching critical as I enter day 3 of what's turning out to be an extremely boring week. Please don't let this be a harbinger of things to come this week.
Anyway, as I have no money to even buy a snack, I've been indulging myself to a lot of Starcraft league replays as well as Starcraft TV. Sure must be nice to be a professional gamer in Korea eh? I found out that BoxeR, one of the best Terran player is paid 780,000 USD over 3 years just to play Starcraft. You might think it's an easy task but believe me the level at which these Korean players are playing are really really out of reach of the ordinary gamer. I just downloaded some of the maps that were made to test micromanagement. The map featured a lot of commonly occuring scenario in the professional leagues that I am watching and seems really easy to do but one is better of talking. I mean how the heck can 6 SCV and 2 Marines win over 6 Zealot and a probe. I am well aware of the theory behind it that the SCV should act as a screen while the Marines spray the Zealots with bullet and at the same time constantly moving to outmaneuver and outrange the zealots. It's a lot of clicking I tell you.
Well I guess that's enough about Starcraft else my sanity level will further degrade. And that's it for this entry since this is such an uneventful day I'm better of not writing nothing at all.
